Yvonne Addy

Yvonne studied Law at King’s College, London University graduating with an LLB (Hons) and an LLM in Corporate and Commercial law.

Following her Law Society Finals at the College of Law, Yvonne joined Muscatt Walker Hayim where she completed her articles in 1996. She became a partner in 2001.

Yvonne heads up our Dispute Resolution team where she employs her extensive civil and commercial litigation experience to assist our clients with their disputes whether through litigation, arbitration or mediation and where necessary to pursue appeals and challenges to the highest courts and tribunals. Yvonne’s practice encompasses a broad spectrum including company, commercial, property, construction, employment, matrimonial and probate law.

She works fiercely to achieve successful outcomes for her clients and she has a diverse and dedicated client following. She has previously acted for a foreign state in international arbitration and regularly acts in high value litigation for domestic and international trusts, corporations and high net worth individuals. Cases Yvonne has been involved with have made the national press and her legally reported cases include: Vertical Properties Limited -v- New Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust Ltd and Ors [2010] UKUT 51 (LC) and Isaac Bruce Hayim, Ian James Pringle, Jill Mary Ross -v- Jeanne Regina Couch LTL 20/5/2009.

Yvonne also has a commercial practice providing strategic advice to our clients aimed at avoiding disputes and supporting them with their individual and business needs.

Away from the office, Yvonne is often to be found on the side of a hockey pitch supporting her daughters’ teams or playing tennis badly.
