Nicola Samuda is a Consultant. She joined us in 2014 as a Legal Assistant and then trained in the firm. Nicola completed the LLB (Hons) Law degree and attained a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course at the University of Westminster.
Nicola has quickly developed a practice area of specialism in assisting clients with the preparation of effective Lasting Powers of Attorneys and more recently, she has advised on Court of Protection Application procedures in relation to dealing with a matrimonial home. She also deals with more general Family Trust issues including drafting Wills and dealing with Probate matters with overseas assets.
Nicola’s on-going caseload is also civil litigation based where she works for individual and business clients or assists and supports the Partners where necessary on their clients’ work. Nicola has supported Yvonne in a lengthy litigation claim for provision from an estate under the 1975 Inheritance Act. Nicola has also built upon her experience as a Free Representation Unit volunteer, working on several Employment Tribunal matters.
Nicola has a natural ability to understand very quickly what her clients’ needs are and how to deal with them. She is a valuable and effective member of the team and is both approachable and technically able to handle client problems with the intention primarily of avoiding Court and formal litigation by taking a realistic and pragmatic approach to resolving disputes.
Nicola also has a PCV licence.
